Flea markets, sporting events and concerts throughout Germany in September

We’ve managed to round up a list of some smaller-scale events happening near U.S. bases. Keep an eye out for last-minute cancellations, and of course, follow the latest guidance from your command:

Garmisch-Partenkirchen

Sept. 19: Trail Running Trilogy: in this race, participants themselves decide when and in which order they take on three challenging routes up the Wank, the Eckbauer and the Kreuzeck. The time window is between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Grafenwöhr

Sept. 12 and 13: Beachclubbing Oberwildenau: DJs provide the music across two separate stages and cocktails are served at a beach bar. Tickets go for 5 euros plus fees.

KMC

Sept. 12: Masters Of Rock - Legendary Classic Rock: this band plays rocks from the 70s on, from White Stripes to Metallica. They’re on stage from 9 p.m. at the Irish House, Eselsfürth 11. Tickets go for 13 euros.

Sept. 12: Keep it Vintage Kilo Sale: buy vintage pieces of clothing by weight at the Bürgerpark, Sankt Johanner Straße 61A, 66115 Saarbrücken. Hours are 11 a.m. - 8 p.m., and entry is free.

Sept. 25: Abba Explosion: an ABBA cover band is sure to be fun! The group takes to the stage from 9 p.m. at the Irish House, Eselsfürth 11. Tickets go for 17 euros.

Sept. 26=27: Tattoo Convention: get a tattoo or piercing, shop for accessories, or just enjoy the live shows. Hours are noon-10 p.m. Sept. 26 and noon-8 p.m. Sept. 27. It takes place at the Congress Center Ramstein, Am Neuen Markt 4, and tickets go for 12 euros online or 15 euros at the door.

Stuttgart

Through Nov.: Blühendes Barock Pumpkin Exhibition the annual pumpkin exhibition held annually on the stunning grounds of the castle Ludwigsburg is going ahead, albeit with a maximum number of tickets being sold per day. This year’s show has a musical theme, with pumpkin arrangements paying homage to both rock and roll and what would have been Beethoven’s 250th birthday.

Sept. 10: Bukahara: this young band playing jazz and funk has quite a following! They perform at the Wagenhalle from 8 p.m., and tickets go for 22 euros plus booking fees.

Sept. 20: Autumn Flea Market: find the treasure of your dreams amidst the antiques and castaways to be seen in the spacious zone around the Karlsplatz. The market runs from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

Sept. 20: Kings of RnB Vol.8: the LKA Longhorn serves as the venue for this concert featuring Keith Sweat and Band, Montell Jordan and Ruff Endz. The show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets go for 48.75 euros plus booking fees.

Wiesbaden

Sept. 4-5: Interstellar Overdrive- The Pink Floyd Experience: enjoy not only a live band but a dazzling show at the Schlachthof. It starts at 7 p.m. both days, and tickets go for 21.50 euros.

Sept. 5-6: Be Thrifty Vintage Vino Kilo Sale: vintage textiles are sold by weight, rather than piece, at the KUZ Kulturzentrum in Mainz, located at Dagobertstraße 20B, 55116 Mainz. Entry costs 3 euros.

Sept. 5: Mallet: these old rockers play covers of all your favorite hard rock hits of the past decades. The concert takes place from 7 p.m. at the Alte Schmelze 16, a pop-up location, and tickets go for 15.69 euros plus fees.

Sept. 12: Hells Belles: a female band plays the best of AC/DC. The concert takes place rain or shine from 8 p.m. at the Alte Schmelze 16, and tickets go for 15.69 euros plus fees.

Sept. 17-20: Wiesbadener Schoppetage 2020. wine, apple wine and delicious street food specialties from the region, along with concerts and activities for all ages, awaits visitors to the Schlachthof.
