Sip refined vino at VinItaly in Verona
More than a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a hotspot for touring Roman ruins, and the setting for a few of Shakespeare’s most famous plays, fair Verona is know for its esteemed International Wine and Spirits Exhibition. The 51st VinItaly exposition will be held Sunday, April 9 to Wednesday, April 12. Visitors are welcome from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday to Tuesday and until 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
Sample reds, whites and sparkling wines that got their start in the rich soils of Italy, or taste the fruits of lesser-known wine-making countries around the world, including Kosovo, Russia, South Africa and Uruguay. When you’ve worked up an appetite, pair wines with haute cuisine prepared by renowned chefs at one of the insider restaurants. Afterward, slip away to the VIP lounge to mingle with exhibitors away from the chaos of the main event.
