With warm sunshine and partly cloudy days forecast through the weekend, now is the perfect time to grab your hiking boots and head out into the great outdoors. On Sunday, April 9, come celebrate 50 years with the Wiesbadener Sportverein as they kick off the 2017 Wiesbaden Wandertage.

A Volksmarch is a non-competitive walk of varying distances. These well-marked paths take you through beautiful countryside and hidden villages, and through the back roads of city centers. The atmosphere is quite festive, with live music and food at the start and finish lines.

The Weisebaden Wandertage consists of 10 different hikes from April through October around the Wiesbaden area. Seven of the routes have a shorter option that you can take if you’re new to hiking or volksmarching. The first event runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 9.
