On Dec. 12, temporary cameras monitored traffic on the A6 near Bruchmühlbach-Miesau. A large number of violations for speeding and tailgating were noted, and individuals will be ticketed. As a result of these offenses, German traffic officials will be setting up more cameras in Rheinland-Pfalz.

Avoid a ticket and stay safe while driving. Always follow posted speed limits, and slow down when road conditions and visibilty are poor. Stay at least half the distance of your vehicle's speed behind the car ahead. For example, at 130 kilometers per hour, you should remain 65 meters behind the vehicle you are following.

Refer to the USAREUR Registry of Motor Vehicles website and driver's testing materials for more details.
