Heads up if you’re heading to Trier this weekend. There will be a partial evacuation of the city on Friday, July 1 beginning at 7 p.m., due to the discovery of a WWII-era unexploded aerial bomb.

Construction crew unearthed the ordinance Tuesday morning, leading to the evacuation of 90 roads within the city on Friday evening. Approximately 6,000 residents will be affected, and it includes part of the tourist-friendly altstadt.  The bomb defusing is scheduled for 9 p.m.
