In accordance with German media, new high-tech speed traps are being introduced on autobahns in Bavaria.

Other German states, including Rheinland-Pfalz, have been using this new technology for a while.

The new speed traps are integrated with signs across autobahns or in gray poles next to the road, and are almost invisible. They no longer emit a visible flash, so drivers will not know they were flashed until they receive the letter in the mail weeks later.
