Shopping for a new car? U.S. military (active duty, retired, veterans and spouses), diplomats and DOD civilians on tour overseas can purchase new vehicles through the Military Car Sales Program.

Authorized dealers offer exclusive benefits and incentives that may include tax-free transactions, worldwide shipping, U.S. specifications and attractive price points. The program is designed to be a stress-free experience for the buyer, with pre-set price points at lower rates than MSRP prices in the U.S., helping to eliminate the anxiety of negotiating prices.

All dealerships provide counseling on financing and personal service during and after the sale. Many dealerships also accept trade-ins and offer pre-owned vehicles. Take advantage of these savings and delivery benefits.

American-made vehicles

Military AutoSource, or MAS (formerly known as Exchange New Car Sales), is the only on-base, authorized contractor of AAFES and NEXCOM, providing factory-authorized distribution of American-made Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, Jeep, Lincoln and Ram vehicles, as well as Harley Davidson® motorcycles. The program provides special military discounts, rebates and consumer protections, including a worldwide factory warranty where MAS cars are maintained and delivered, and a date and delivery guarantee. MAS also guarantees that if customers are not satisfied with vehicles at delivery, full refunds are given. And, should a servicemember’s orders change after a vehicle order is placed, the transaction can be canceled without penalty. The General Motors military discount program includes rebates on select models for active duty, reservists, veterans (within one year of discharge date), retirees and spouses of U.S. armed forces. While GM does not take part in the on-base sales program, those returning stateside can purchase through a certified internet manager for stateside delivery. Import vehicles

MAS also sells new makes and models of Audi, Honda, Infiniti, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Volkswagen and Toyota vehicles. Sales are possible either through U.S. Military Exchanges outside the continental U.S., aboard select Navy ships at sea, or with an online sales representative. MAS can provide stateside delivery of Audi, Volkswagen, Nissan and Infiniti vehicles, as well as European delivery of Audi, Volkswagen, Honda, Toyota and Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

Several auto dealers are authorized to sell Volvo, Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles through the military car sales programs, with sales points in countries including Belgium, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Spain, Netherlands and the U.K. Incentives include customized vehicles, attractive service plans, factory pricing, home shipment and a 4-year/50,000 mile worldwide warranty. BMW and MINI offer several onsite sales points in Belgium, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain and the U.K. Sale prices are set by BMW AG in U.S. dollars to eliminate daily currency fluctuation. The program also offers tax-free options and direct-factory pricing, and those stationed in Germany or on TDY (for at least a day) qualify. Buy early and no sales tax for certain states

You may purchase a vehicle through the program at any time during your tour. However, please complete the purchase transaction at least six months prior to a PCS to allow time for document processing and shipping. You may also avoid sales tax, depending on where you PCS. For details, visit
