IKEA has issued a product safety recall on more than 29 million chests and dressers worldwide. The MALM model of dressers are being recalled due to the tipping hazard if not properly anchored to a wall. This hazard has been linked to injuries and deaths of several children.

IKEA is offering a full refund is the drawers were manufactured between January 1, 2002 and June 28, 2016; 50% refund of the original price, if manufactured before January 1, 2002 and a store credit of $50 if the manufacturing date cannot be established. The furniture retailer is also offering a free wall-anchoring repair kit.
